To check your BISE board result, open your own board’s official website, select your class and the 2026 annual examination, type the roll number printed on your roll number slip, and your subject-wise result appears on screen. That is the fastest and most complete method — it shows every subject’s marks, not just the total. If the website will not load on result day, send only your roll number by SMS to your board’s short code (for example 800291 for BISE Lahore, or “FB” followed by your roll number to 5050 for the Federal Board), and the result comes back as a text message within a minute or two. This guide covers every board in Pakistan — all nine Punjab boards, the Federal Board, the Sindh boards, the eight KPK boards, Balochistan and AJK — with the official website and SMS code for each, the 2026 result dates, and what to do after you see your marks. Facts are date-stamped 8 November 2026 and checked against board announcements as reported by multiple independent sources. Where sources disagree — and they do on a couple of SMS codes — this article says so and tells you how to confirm the right one.
One thing to get right before anything else: a BISE board result is only valid on your own board’s system. A roll number issued by BISE Multan will not return a result on the Lahore board’s website or on Lahore’s SMS code, and the same applies to every other board. Your roll number slip names your board — start there, then use the directory table below to find its website and code.
Which board is yours?
Pakistan has more than 25 boards of intermediate and secondary education, and each one runs its own examinations and publishes its own results. The nine Punjab boards coordinate their calendar through the Punjab Boards Committee of Chairmen (PBCC), which is why Lahore, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Multan, Sahiwal, Bahawalpur and Dera Ghazi Khan all announce on the same date and at the same time, usually 10:00 AM. The Federal Board (FBISE) follows its own schedule — its 2026 results were announced at 11:30 AM — and the Sindh, KPK, Balochistan and AJK boards each set their own dates. So the first step is always the same: find your board on your roll number slip, then check only that board’s result.
The four ways to check are the same almost everywhere: online by roll number, by SMS, by name on some boards, and from the printed or downloadable gazette. Online by roll number gives you the full subject-wise result card. SMS gives you a short summary and works without internet. Name search is useful when you have lost your slip. The gazette is the complete official record of every student — handy for schools and for checking a classmate’s result, but a large PDF to search through.
Method 1: Check your BISE board result online by roll number
This is the method the boards themselves recommend, and it is the only one that shows your complete result card with marks in every subject.
- Open your board’s official website from the directory table below — type the address directly into your browser instead of searching, because result-day searches are full of copycat sites.
- Open the Results section on the homepage. On most boards it is a prominent link or button; on BISE Lahore it is the result portal at result.biselahore.com, reached from biselahore.com.
- Select your examination: SSC Part 1 (9th class) or Part 2 (10th class), or HSSC Part 1 (11th class) or Part 2 (12th class), then choose Annual Examination 2026 (or Second Annual, if that is the session you sat).
- Type your roll number exactly as printed on your slip — no spaces or dashes unless the form shows them.
- Submit, and check the name and father’s name on the result card before trusting the marks. If the name is wrong, you are looking at someone else’s result.
On result day the board websites slow down badly — in 2026, millions of students hit the same servers at 10:00 AM. If the page will not load, wait a few minutes and try again rather than refreshing constantly, or switch to the SMS method below and come back for the full result card later in the day. Never enter your roll number on a third-party “result checker” site that asks for anything else — your CNIC number, your phone number, or a payment. The boards never ask for those to show a result, and the sites that do are collecting data or selling it.
Method 2: Check your BISE board result by SMS
SMS is the most reliable method on result day because it does not depend on the board’s web server at all. It works on any mobile phone, including a basic feature phone, and the reply usually arrives within seconds to a couple of minutes. Each message costs about Rs 2–5 depending on your network, so keep a little balance on the SIM. Send the message a minute or two after the announcement time rather than exactly at 10:00 AM, when the flood of messages is at its worst.
For the nine Punjab boards, type only your roll number and send it to your board’s code:
| Board | SMS code | Official website |
|---|---|---|
| BISE Lahore | 800291 | biselahore.com |
| BISE Gujranwala | 800299 | bisegrw.edu.pk |
| BISE Faisalabad | 800240 | bisefsd.edu.pk |
| BISE Rawalpindi | 800296 | biserawalpindi.edu.pk |
| BISE Sargodha | 800290 | bisesargodha.edu.pk |
| BISE Multan | 800293 | bisemultan.edu.pk |
| BISE Sahiwal | 800292 | bisesahiwal.edu.pk |
| BISE Bahawalpur | 800298 | bisebwp.edu.pk |
| BISE DG Khan | 800295 | bisedgkhan.edu.pk |
Two warnings about the Lahore code, because this is the single most common mistake in Pakistan every result season. Several websites still list Lahore’s code as 80029 — five digits. That is one digit short and will not return a result. The correct code is 800291, confirmed by multiple 2026 result pages and by the board’s own result notices. If you sent your roll number to 80029 and got nothing back, that is almost certainly why. The same caution applies everywhere: boards occasionally change their SMS provider and code between years, so the code printed on your current roll number slip beats anything on the internet, including this article.
Outside Punjab the format varies. For the Federal Board, type FB, one space, then your roll number — for example “FB 123456” — and send it to 5050. For the Board of Secondary Education Karachi (BSEK), the widely reported method is to send only your roll number to 8583, but some pages list a different format (SSC1 or SSC2 followed by the roll number, sent to 2735) — the two formats come from different years and providers, so confirm the current one on your slip or on bsek.edu.pk before the result. All eight KPK boards — Peshawar, Swat, Kohat, Malakand, Abbottabad, Mardan, Bannu and Dera Ismail Khan — are reported to share the short code 9818. The AJK board is reported to use 5050, the same code as FBISE, but that is the least well documented of the codes in this guide — verify it on your slip. Note that an SMS reply is a short summary, not the full result card: use the online portal for subject-wise marks and for anything official, like an admission form.
Method 3: Check by name
Several boards let you search by name when you do not have your roll number — BISE Lahore and FBISE both offer a name search on their result portals, and some other boards do too. Type your full name exactly as it appears on your roll number slip or admission form, and the portal lists matching candidates; pick your own entry and check the father’s name before accepting the marks. Name search is slower and more error-prone than roll number search — common names return long lists — so treat it as a backup for a lost slip, not the first choice. If your board does not offer name search, the gazette (below) is the way to find a result without a roll number.
Method 4: Download the gazette
Every board publishes a result gazette — a PDF containing the complete result of every student who appeared. It is published on the board’s website on result day, usually in the results section alongside the roll-number search, and printed copies are available at the board office and at campus cells. To use it, download the gazette for your class and session, open it in a PDF reader, and search (Ctrl+F) for your roll number. The gazette is the official record, so it is also what schools use to verify results, and it is the fallback when both the website and SMS are down. The downside is size: a Punjab board gazette runs to thousands of pages, so keep the roll-number search as your first option and the gazette as the backup.
Board directory: every BISE board’s official website and SMS code
This is the table to bookmark. Use only these official addresses — a board’s result is authentic only on its own systems, and copycat domains that look almost identical are a regular problem on result day.
| Board | Districts / area | Official website | SMS code |
|---|---|---|---|
| BISE Lahore | Lahore, Kasur, Sheikhupura, Nankana Sahib | biselahore.com | 800291 |
| BISE Gujranwala | Gujranwala, Gujrat, Sialkot, Hafizabad, Narowal, Mandi Bahauddin | bisegrw.edu.pk | 800299 |
| BISE Faisalabad | Faisalabad, Chiniot, Jhang, Toba Tek Singh | bisefsd.edu.pk | 800240 |

| BISE Mirpurkhas | Mirpurkhas division | bisemirpurkhas.edu.pk | 8583* |
| BISE Peshawar | Peshawar division | bisep.edu.pk | 9818 |
| BISE Abbottabad | Hazara division | biseatd.edu.pk | 9818 |
| BISE Swat / Kohat / Malakand / Mardan / Bannu / DI Khan | Respective KPK divisions | Check your roll number slip for the board’s own .edu.pk portal | 9818 |
| BISE Quetta | Balochistan | bbiseqta.edu.pk | — |
| BISE AJK | Azad Jammu and Kashmir | Check your roll number slip for the board’s portal | 5050* |
*The 8583 code is reported for Karachi and most Sindh boards, and 5050 for AJK, but the reporting on these is thinner than for Punjab and FBISE — confirm the code on your roll number slip or your board’s own website before result day. Where the table shows a dash, the board has no widely reported SMS service for 2026, so use the online portal or the gazette.
BISE result dates 2026: what has already been announced
All of the 2026 annual results below have been announced. If you are reading this after your result, the same methods work — results stay online on the board portals for the whole year, and the gazette remains downloadable. The next session to watch for is the second annual (supplementary) examination, which the Punjab boards usually hold a few months after the annual result.
| Board / exam | Announced |
|---|---|
| Nine Punjab boards — 10th class (SSC Part 2) | 6 August 2026, 10:00 AM |
| Nine Punjab boards — 9th class (SSC Part 1) | 2 September 2026, 10:00 AM |
| Nine Punjab boards — 12th class (HSSC Part 2) | 23 September 2026, 10:00 AM |
| Nine Punjab boards — 11th class (HSSC Part 1) | 22 October 2026, 10:00 AM |
| FBISE — SSC Part 1 and Part 2 | 29 July 2026 |
| FBISE — HSSC Part 1 and Part 2 | 9 September 2026, 11:30 AM |
| BSEK Karachi — 10th class | 30 June 2026 |
| BSEK Karachi — 9th class | 31 August 2026 |
| BISE Peshawar and BISE Abbottabad — SSC annual | 4 August 2026 |
Results are almost always announced in the morning — 10:00 AM for the Punjab boards, 11:30 AM for FBISE — and position holders are typically named the day before. For any board or class not listed here, open the board’s own site for the exact date; this guide only prints dates that could be confirmed from more than one source.
What to do after your result
If you passed, keep the result card safe. Download or screenshot the online result card the same day, and collect the original detailed marks certificate (DMC) from your school or the board office when it is issued — admissions and jobs ask for the DMC, not a screenshot. Your next paperwork depends on where you are headed. Matric students going on to intermediate will need their result for college admission; intermediate students applying to university will need the degree they earn next to be recognised, so it is worth knowing early how to check whether a degree is HEC-recognised before choosing an institution. Once you hold a degree, the follow-on process is HEC degree attestation, and if that degree comes from abroad, the HEC equivalence certificate is the document that makes it count in Pakistan.
If a subject’s marks look wrong, apply for rechecking — fast. Punjab boards open a short rechecking window after each result, generally 15 days, and late applications are not accepted for any reason. Rechecking means the board verifies the totalling, checks for unmarked answers and confirms the right answer book was marked — it is not a fresh marking of your paper. As a concrete example, BISE Lahore’s rechecking for the HSSC Part 2 result cost Rs 1,300 per subject in 2026 (Rs 1,200 per subject plus Rs 100 processing), with applications open from 24 September to 8 October 2026. Fees differ by board and by class, so confirm the exact figure on your own board’s website before paying; Lahore also offers a separate, more expensive re-evaluation where a senior examiner re-reads the paper. Apply online through your board’s portal and keep the payment receipt.
If you failed one or two subjects, you are not starting over. You can appear in the second annual (supplementary) examination for the failed subjects only, usually held a few months after the annual result. Your board announces the supplementary schedule and the admission form on its website — apply before the last date, because late forms carry a heavy fee or are refused outright. Failing more subjects than the supplementary rules allow means repeating the year, so read your board’s notification rather than guessing from what a classmate did last year.
If you are thinking about earning while you study, start with the paperwork, not the platform. Many intermediate and university students in Pakistan now freelance alongside their studies, and our guide to getting paid as a freelancer in Pakistan explains how the money actually reaches you. The practical first steps are PSEB registration for freelancers, which costs Rs 1,000 for a new freelancer, and the best bank accounts for freelancers in Pakistan so your payments land somewhere sensible. And if you start earning, you will eventually need an NTN registration — it is free to obtain and it is what puts you on the tax record as a filer rather than a non-filer. None of that is urgent on result day, but it is the honest next step for students who plan to earn online, and it is cheaper to set up before you need it than after a client is already waiting to pay you.
Troubleshooting: when the result will not show
The website will not load. This is normal in the first hour after a Punjab board announcement. Wait ten minutes, try again, and avoid hammering refresh — it adds to the load. Meanwhile, check by SMS, which does not use the website at all.
The SMS gets no reply. First, check you sent it to the right code for your board, and that you typed only the roll number (or “FB” plus the roll number for FBISE). Second, check your balance — the message costs a few rupees and fails silently on an empty SIM. Third, wait a few minutes; replies can take a couple of minutes when the system is flooded. If it still does not come, use the online portal or the gazette.
“Roll number not found.” You are almost certainly on the wrong board’s website, the wrong class, or the wrong session (annual vs second annual). Double-check the board name on your slip, and make sure you selected 2026 and the right part — 9th class and 10th class roll numbers are different series, and entering a 9th class number in the 10th class search returns nothing.
The result card shows the wrong name. Stop — that is someone else’s result. Re-enter your roll number carefully; a single wrong digit lands you on another student’s card. If the name is still wrong after a careful re-entry, contact your board’s result branch with your slip.
A third-party site asks for your CNIC or a fee to show the result. Close it. No board charges anything to view a result, and no board needs your CNIC for a roll-number search. Use only the official website from the directory above.
Frequently asked questions
How can I check my BISE board result by roll number?
Open your board’s official website, open the Results section, select your class (9th, 10th, 11th or 12th) and the Annual Examination 2026, type your roll number exactly as printed on your slip, and submit. The full subject-wise result card appears on screen. Check the name and father’s name on the card before trusting the marks.
What is the SMS code for checking a BISE result?
It depends on your board. For Punjab: Lahore 800291, Gujranwala 800299, Multan 800293, Faisalabad 800240, Rawalpindi 800296, Sargodha 800290, DG Khan 800295, Bahawalpur 800298, Sahiwal 800292 — send only your roll number. For FBISE send “FB” plus your roll number to 5050. Karachi’s BSEK is widely reported as 8583. KPK boards share 9818. Confirm the code on your roll number slip, because boards change providers between years.
Can I check my BISE result without a roll number?
Yes, two ways. Some boards offer a name search on their result portal — type your full name as it appears on your admission form and pick your entry from the matches. Or download the gazette PDF from your board’s website and search it for your name. Both are slower than a roll-number search, so use them only when the slip is lost.
What time are BISE results announced?
Punjab boards announce at 10:00 AM, and all nine boards announce together under the PBCC schedule. FBISE announces at 11:30 AM. Other boards set their own times but also usually announce in the morning. Position holders are generally named the day before the full result.
What is the BISE gazette and where do I download it?
The gazette is the board’s complete official result record — a PDF listing every student who appeared. It is published in the results section of your board’s official website on result day, and printed copies are available at the board office. Download it, open it in a PDF reader, and search for your roll number.
My marks look wrong. What can I do?
Apply for rechecking on your board’s website within the window — usually 15 days from the result, and late applications are refused. Rechecking verifies totalling and unmarked answers; it is not a fresh marking. For reference, BISE Lahore charged Rs 1,300 per subject for HSSC Part 2 rechecking in 2026. Some boards also offer re-evaluation, where a senior examiner re-reads the paper, at a higher fee. If you failed one or two subjects, the second annual (supplementary) examination is the route back — apply before the last date your board announces.
